Hello! I’m Marina and my son Kyrill 4 y.o with diagnosis — global developmental delay GDD and ASD. We started treatment at the age of 3 years and 9 months. Our achievements after the 2nd stage of the course:
1. Sleep
Daytime sleep: falls asleep in 15-20 minutes, sleeps for 1.5-2 hours.
Nighttime sleep: falls asleep in 30 minutes, sleeps until the morning.
2. Toilet
We immediately moved from the potty to the toilet. He uses a children’s pad when he needs to go poop.
He independently understands when he needs to go there, after which he presses the flush button, closes the toilet lid, closes the bathroom door and turns off the light when leaving.
3. Nutrition and food
He has developed an appetite, eats with pleasure.
His diet has expanded, he has started eating different foods (including hard nuts, soup, borscht, porridge, cutlet, etc.).
He eats without cartoons (!), consciously, opening his mouth and chewing food.
He uses a spoon and fork himself (!)
4. Understanding speech
He has begun to understand addressed speech even more. He can already agree on something or explain a situation. He answers questions better. He understands “favorites” perfectly.
5. Speech development
We say words with 2 syllables (aunt, uncle…) and begin to repeat words with 3 syllables (crow, dog…)
He knows who mom, dad, nanny, etc. are, and what their names are. Knows his name and age (answers questions)
Can already construct a simple sentence (or phrases with 2 words): mom give, mom let’s go, Nu zaya, nu pogodi, Tima and Toma.
Begins to pronounce letters and syllables more clearly: Aunt Masha, Uncle Misha. Easier to answer questions.
6. Physical development
Active, runs and jumps well.
Learned to swim, about 10 meters on his own. Can estimate the distance before jumping into the pool for a ball.
Can ride a self-balancing bike, a scooter and learned to ride a bike. Now he rides a bike freely, as if he always knew how.
Began to play with the ball more, kicks the ball with his foot on the football field and tries to score.
7. Intellectual development
A speech therapist and neuropsychologist noticed improvements in behavior and information absorption. Kirill can already count to 10, knows all the colors and almost all the letters. He plays out the plot of a fairy tale, initiates sounds, words, remembers the script, and has more emotions.
8. Interaction with children
On the playground, he has shown interest in children, especially girls in beautiful dresses. But Kirill does not quite understand the rules of their game, so he only runs, catches up, or runs away. He can already defend his toy or get offended when someone takes it away from him. Sometimes he even pushed the child when he took the car (but it was not aggression).
9. Games
There is a plot and meaning in the game. There is no mess. We collect toys without problems.
We stopped putting everything in a row, the animals are already walking in a herd, the railroad is built independently with some idea in the game.
He collects puzzles. He draws and already tries not to go beyond the contour lines. Interest in books, in the plot of the story (he loves when they read or tell something).
10. Additional positive factors
Eye tics, nose picking are gone, less drooling near the mouth.
We had a spider-shaped hemangioma on our stomach from birth on the side of the body, now it is spreading, as if dissolving and disappearing.
We are going to kindergarten in September, I specifically chose a special kindergarten for children with speech delays – there is a stronger program for such children. We will socialize and develop even more.
The general climate in the family has improved, there are fewer nerves and conflicts.
I have gained strength and other positive energy, I have become more harmonious, not so harsh, tired and exhausted by life. My mood has improved, there is a desire to move on and conquer new horizons.
My husband came several times with us for treatment, at each of the sessions the Professor kept talking about “the second child” and “what a good mother”.
I don’t understand how it works, but after that – my husband “doesn’t give me a break”. Plus I gained +4 kg.
In short, we are following the script written and voiced by the Professor.
