Diagnostics and treatment

The research institute provides treatment and rehabilitation for patients with organic and functional disorders, such as: autism and ASD, global developmental delay, delayed speech development, cerebral palsy, central nervous system damage, neurosensory (sensorineural) hearing impairment, stuttering, tics, enuresis, encopresis, emotional and behavioral disorders, various neurotic and somatoform disorders: eating disorders, anorexia, bulimia, somatoform autonomic dysfunction (vegetative-vascular dystonia) and others.

It should be taken into account that patients with disabilities subsequently develop secondary neurotic and somatoform disorders, which complicate their further rehabilitation and adaptation in the micro- and macroenvironment.

Recently, statistics have been sending us very alarming signals: increasingly, psychiatrists are diagnosing representatives of the younger generation with a tendency to neurotic and somatoform (psychosomatic and vegetative) disorders.

It should be noted that this phenomenon did not arise out of nowhere. Persons with mental disorders, incl. neurotic and somatoform (psychosomatic and vegetative) disorders constitute a large part of the population in developed countries of the world.

Moreover, a comparative analysis shows that every fourth inhabitant of the planet is at risk of developing a mental disorder. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), every fourth to fifth person in the world suffers from one or another mental or behavioral disorder. This factor forces the community of specialized doctors to actively influence the process. Influence, and not suppress alarming statistics, do not ignore the problem.

By the way, depression ranks third in the list of the above group of diseases. However, according to WHO forecasts, by 2030 depression will firmly occupy a leading position. And already today, psychiatrists have to make a diagnosis of “depression” to patients who come to see them every day and more than once.
The vast majority of patients are children and adolescents.

Until now, the impact of neurotic and somatoform disorders on patients with disabilities has not been the subject of special study. Therefore, no methods have been developed to influence the mental (cognitive) functions of patients in order to provide medical and psychosocial assistance, improve their living conditions, socialization, involvement in work and social activities, medical and social rehabilitation, formation of an adequate attitude and response to socially unfavorable ( psychotraumatic) factors. Socially unfavorable (psychotraumatic) factors lead to the emergence of new functional disorders that indirectly or directly affect behavioral, cognitive and social life, and also impede (difficulty) the correct diagnosis and full rehabilitation of patients.

To diagnose and carry out treatment and rehabilitation measures, our research institute is equipped with various technical means. The institute operates a permanent school for parents and families with sick children and family members.

As a result of many years of searches and observations, more than 30 drug-free methods have been developed to eliminate neurotic and somatoform disorders in patients and provide medical and psychosocial rehabilitation.

To objectify the ongoing rehabilitation measures, electrophysiological (EEG, EchoEG), audiometric, clinical-anamnestic, clinical-psychopathological and socio-psychological research methods and others are used as the main ones. In addition, if necessary, a comprehensive examination of patients is carried out with the involvement of highly qualified specialists.

When providing medical and rehabilitation care, the main advantage is given to drug-free therapy. The treatment process is combined with psychophysical and psychophysiological influences (method of Professor V.M. Rakhmanov), during which intensive speech training is carried out.

During medical and psychosocial rehabilitation, suggestion is actively carried out, which consists of two parts: suggestion in the waking state, in free communication, and suggestion in a state of relaxation. incl. hypnotic state (with the consent of the relatives of the patients and the patients themselves). During medical and psychosocial rehabilitation, suggestion (suggestion) is actively carried out, which consists of two parts: suggestion in a waking state, in free communication, and suggestion in a state of relaxation, a hypnotic state (with the consent of patients and their parents and relatives).

The institute regularly hosts musical and literary evenings, occupational therapy, which additionally contribute to speech training, the development of hearing loss disorders in patients with autism and the autistic spectrum, social rehabilitation of patients, incl. with neurosis.

The final stage of rehabilitation of patients is to create maximum comfort for them, bring them closer to active, relaxed social communication and verbalization (speech), form an adequate attitude towards negative traumatic, socially unfavorable situations, and others.

After treatment, patients are under constant supervision of doctors who conduct supportive therapy, psychological, electrophysiological and other examinations.
