Treatment of delayed speech development (DSD). Reviews. My name is Masha and I’m the mom of Elisey 3.10 y.o diagnosed with delayed speech development (DSD). When we came to the professor, we had big problems with nutrition, ate only 3-4 certain foods, and did not want to try anything new. Attempts to offer other food immediately triggered the gag reflex.
On the third day of treatment, Elisey began to try a little new food and eat on his own with a spoon and fork. Now he eats almost all cereals, potatoes in various forms, pasta, meat. This is a lot for us, we hope to start trying fruits and vegetables further. Also after the first stage, his auto aggression had gone, cause earlier in protest, he could hit himself on the head. Now, this is not the case.
He has become more diligent, responds to the name the first time. He began to understand the addressed speech even better, now we have an understanding of about 80%. Fine motor skills have also improved, unfastens and zips, better jigsaw puzzles. He started not only throwing, but also catching the ball. Now he listens to fairy tales with pleasure before he just threw away books. Also, new sounds appeared and began to babble more.
Overall we are very happy with the results after the first time. We think there will still be improvements at home. And we look forward to it when we go again.
