Good afternoon, I am Vika from Kyiv. Dima 7-years-old was diagnosed with speech and language developmental delay SLDD. By the age of two, Dima developed even faster than his peers, he started to hold his head on time, sat down, walked, chewed, took off his diaper on time, etc., went to regular kindergarten at 2.5 years old, actively babbled. But then we saw that Dima was lagging behind in speech and, moreover, in understanding spoken language. We started active examinations: we checked hearing, dozens of neurologists, speech therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists – everyone said wait, he will speak!!! Then they did an EEG (showed brain dysfunction), an MRI (everything was fine), underwent research at genetic centers, and passed hundreds of lab tests.
From the age 2.4 y.o, we started intensive work with a speech therapist, a defectologist – there was no result. Then we added to the classes: neurocorrection, ergocorrection, logorhythmics, classes with a psychologist – small shifts in understanding. Tomatoes have passed, we understand that additional stimulation is still needed, so we began to undergo high-frequency therapy and micropolarization (we did this for 3 years). It gave us only an understanding (about 70%) and a few words. We worked with all our might, tried to raise the child, regularly did EEG, practiced at home and in classes, attended sessions of an osteopath, took Dima to all kinds of entertainment programs so that he could be among children (socialization)!
At the age of 6, Dima was sent to a specialized school, Dima studies in a class for children with speech impediments (who should I tell, because the school is very good. A psychologist, a speech therapist, a speech pathologist works with the children regularly, there are classes on sculpting ceramics and rhythm, good nutrition).
We did everything, I thought so, we worked endlessly, but there was no speech, and the behavior also wanted better, Dima was too hyperactive.
Thank God, we found another option – the center of Professor Vagif Rakhmanov in Dnipro, immediately signed up and went!!
You know, it was our most correct and most effective place where we were (and we were many places!)
Literally from the first days, I saw changes, and I want to share them:
1. Dima began to repeat much more, to say something on his own (so far only individual words)
2. Became more obedient, you can negotiate with him.
3. Hyperactivity has subsided, Dima calmly goes shopping (doesn’t take everything he wants), calmly walks around the mall and leaves them without shouting.
4. Plays independently in all children’s areas (I am resting).
5. Completely turned off cartoons and everything like that, we read books.
6. He shows everything in pictures (I used to run after him), we exercise every day, even before school, he takes the initiative to write spellings himself (previously because of shouting and I don’t want to do terrible things).
7. Treats animals with care (before treatment – could pinch).
8. Confirms or denies my words (yes, no), asks questions (when, where).
9. Careful of strangers (before treatment – went to everyone without exception), now he constantly monitors where we are so as not to get lost!
I am very satisfied that after the 1st stage such results, Dima seems like as “enabled”, he easily perceives the all information!!
For the first time in our entire journey, we immediately saw the effect and now we will go regularly, because the treatment at the center really gives an effect!!!
I sincerely wish all children good health, speedy recovery, parents strength, patience and confidently go to the goal together with the children!!!
