Hello everyone! I’m Ekaterina with my son Klym 6 y.o, he was diagnosed with ASD, we’re from Kryvyi Rih Ukraine. We went through the first stage of treatment from 17.06-6.07. What happened and continues to happen to me and my son during and after rehabilitation is fantastic! From the first days of therapy, Klym’s constipation went away, he began to use the pointing gesture much more actively (without being asked!), and the constant manipulative whining is gradually disappearing. Here I would like to say a huge thank you to Vagif Mamedovich for reminding us that we should not indulge and constantly feel sorry for our children. Overprotection does not bring any benefit. Klym loves to sculpt from plasticine, but he does not like to draw and write. By the end of the therapy, he began to draw with his finger on the sand in the sandbox and on the beach.
My boy loved the water, but he clung to me with a death grip and simply hung on my hands, his body did not relax, he was as if cast from an inflexible material. For two weeks, every day we went to the local beach in Dnipro. A miracle happened! By the end of the first week, the child finally relaxed, a few days later – he began to try to swim, at the end of the second week he constantly began to poke at the children who were swimming with inflatable rings and repeat: “Ring!!!” Although literally a week before leaving, we were at a tourist center, and it was unrealistic to put him in a ring!
We bought it the next day, he climbed into it and… it swam ))) He began to pay even more attention to the children and repeat after them, tries to communicate, looks into their eyes, makes two-word requests, usually a call to action. For example, he looks at a boy with a water pistol and asks: “Pew-Pew-Pew-!” with such a clear intonation that the child understands that he needs to shoot! My son’s look became even more meaningful, cunning, alive. Today we were at the beach, he hugged his older brother in the water, splashed, chased the children in the water) Fantastic! We were on a gluten- and casein-free diet, I talked to mothers who had all this gone into oblivion, and began to gradually introduce dairy into my son’s diet. I did not notice any rollbacks or strong reactions. From the exacerbations – Klym started to fight 🤛😱 He started to kick the grass, throw the scooter, sometimes even tries to hit strangers passing by. For which he gets a punch in the soft spot, and understands that this was not the best idea 👌🤣
About myself — it’s like I returned to the state that I almost forgot about! This is the absence of constant worry about the child, the desire to control everything, hold his hand, watch with all my eyes, worry about every reason. Internal anxiety is gone, that very LIGHTNESS has appeared!!! I tolerated changes in atmospheric pressure simply thanks to a cup of coffee, no “pot pains”, my stomach and gastritis do not bother me, although I am hungry 😁, the food seems incredibly tasty) There was not just more energy, a real reboot! We have been in our native walls for the second week now, I constantly observe small miracles. As the professor Rakhmanov says: “Real improvement comes at HOME😇”
