As our professor says, there are two professions whose representatives should never openly express their opinion about the work of colleagues, especially if it is subjectively negative. These are doctors and teachers. Among physicians, as among many other specialists, there is unthinkable envy of each other. Sometimes they openly denigrate their colleagues in front of patients with impartial words. But this does not add to their honor. If you have your own opinion about the work of colleagues, it is better to discuss it tete-a-tete, and not publicly insult your colleagues.

I want to write about the wonderful doctor, and this is Professor Vagif Mamedovich Rahmanov, and dispel all the myths about the supposedly wrong, “quack” method of treatment. Let my story of recovery be accepted by anyone, as he wants, whether he rejoices, or envies… When I was a child, I grew up as a sickly child – constant sore throats, colds, pneumonia. But I heard and spoke normally.
In 1982, when I was 13, I suddenly noticed that my hearing was getting worse. At first, the audibility of a whisper disappeared, then I could not always understand a normal conversation. In the beginning, my parents thought I was faking it. One day I got tired of everything, and my dad and I went to the ENT doctor. A terrible diagnosis, like a bolt from the blue: Right-Sided Hearing Loss also known as Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSHL) – the remnants of hearing and that’s it. The doctors said that this diagnosis is not treated anywhere and that the second ear must be protected so as not to remain completely deaf. But how to take care of it, if with each audiogram the hearing fell catastrophically in the left ear?
The cause of my illness was never determined. Presumably a side effect of antibiotics. Mom cried day and night. All regional hospitals, “a healer” and “folk medicine” didn’t achieve any result. The local doctor, seeing all this, could not stand it and told his mother the address of one woman who treated her son in Dnepropetrovsk, with Professor Rahmanov. Upon arrival at the Dnipro, we were shocked: at 8 o’clock in the morning there were twenty in the queue and an hour later there was already a queue twice as long behind us.
In the afternoon it was our turn. The doctor accepted but said that the waiting list for him for treatment was scheduled for 2 years in advance, and my case is not yet so difficult, because I can hear a little and speak normally. Parents signed up in the queue and the countdown to two difficult years began. During this time, the hearing on the left “healthy ear” fell day by day. At school, she could only hear the teacher from the first desk (but at school, everyone does not like the first desk). Classmates began to tease me with a “deaf grouse”, they deliberately said something quietly, and then laughed because I didn’t hear. Girlfriends stopped being friends with me because I either don’t hear them, or I misunderstand. I was ashamed to be friends with me, I was in my fourteenth year, when girls and boys had already begun to meet each other, and I didn’t even have real friends. I didn’t go to discos, because I didn’t hear the conversation of my friends among the loud music. How to keep the fall of hearing, no one knew. Neither drugs nor physical therapy helped procedures.
Finally, in 1984, we were treated by Professor Rahmanov. I already had a neurosis-like state in the background of a neurosensory hearing defect. My dad and I lived in an apartment that we rented for the duration of the treatment, and went to the hospital every day. I preferred to spend time alone, constantly made numerous complaints, and was nervous, and irritable.
Already after the first course of treatment, my hearing was restored in my left “healthy” ear, and I could already respond when someone called me. It became difficult to conduct an audiogram since the left ear “overheard” the right, it was necessary to greatly increase the noise in the left ear in order to determine the audibility of the right. Yes, the treatment turned out to be hard work, both on the part of the doctor and my parents. In the process of treatment, my general condition began to improve, I became more mobile, more active, and calmly began to relate to my shortcoming, and during the sessions, I easily fell into a hypnotic sleep. A positive suggestion was carried out, aimed at a general improvement in hearing.
Every day – hearing tests and keeping diaries, gradually began to reflect an improvement in hearing. I don’t hide it, I immediately thought that I would come to Rakhmanov and in a month I would hear everything, but it turned out to be not so easy, bit by bit from each course of treatment my hearing was getting better. The time has come and I (with a sick right ear) heard spoken language. I was surprised that I heard a conversation, I could not get used to it, I asked again all the time. It turns out that I have already gotten used to being “hard of hearing”, used to ask again, look the interlocutor in the face and read lips.
Here’s the situation: I already heard normally, but still automatically asked again. Hearing tests are very valuable, where you learn not only to hear colloquial speech but also to disassemble it by letters and syllables. The letters “s” and “ts” were given very hard – but I didn’t hear them right away and that’s it, then over time, I began to hear whispered speech at a distance of one meter. All the time I had to conduct ear training classes, since the intelligibility of whispered speech was given very, very hard. Hear – I hear, but I do not understand what. How much joy there was when I can hear a whisper! The hard, persistent, and continuous work of Professor Rahmanov was crowned with success. The treatment was long – 10 stages of his treatment, and with each stage, the results improved.
I’ll also tell those who have hearing problems: a sharp improvement in hearing, it turns out, is also bad, when hearing improves sharply, it’s hard. After all, when you start to hear new sounds, they seem very loud and annoy you. It is impossible to watch TV because it seems that it is turned on at full volume, and the parents say that the volume is normal. Somewhere, someone will knock, and in my head, there is a whole alarm. In such a situation, it is very difficult to adapt to the audibility of new sounds. You start to get nervous, you feel uncomfortable, but then you get used to the sounds, and everything returns to normal.
Over time, Professor Rakhmanov was allocated half a one-story building in the hospital, where he could receive even more children, then he became the head of the Center. The amazing results of treatment regarding the improvement and restoration of hearing were confirmed every day not only in me but also in other patients of Professor Rahmanov. By the way, many of the old patients of the doctor remember me, since I was treated by him for a long time. All the patients who have been treated by Professor Rakhmanov since 1984 and remember me, respond because then a lot of people were treated from different countries of the world.
Thanks to Professor Rakhmanov, I graduated from a general education school in 1988, before treatment, the question was raised about transferring to a boarding school for the hearing impaired. I entered to study in Dnipro for a specialty – book science. In the group, classmates did not even suspect that I had once heard badly. She married a normal-hearing guy who is hard of hearing and knows the price of communicating with normal-hearing people. Igor knew about my health problem, it was not an obstacle to our relationship, he even took me to the professor for treatment. Our son Nikita was born.
All my life I feel the support of Professor Rahmanov. I know that what will not happen in my life – the doctor will always accept me for who I am and cure me. I don’t complain about hearing. Now no one at work, or new friends, or neighbors, knows that I once had hearing problems. The doctor, in the literal sense of the word, saved me, pulled me out of the abyss, and gave me a ticket to a normal, healthy life.
For 13 years after the restoration of my hearing, I did not go to the doctor. I worked in the security system, in a two-story building, I was alone at night for the whole building, I was very afraid, there was constant overvoltage, restless nights. There I undermined my health and in 2003 ended up in the hospital with a severe form of vegetative dystonia or somatic vegetative dysfunction (SVD). I was already given a disability group, and again the doctor raised me to my feet. I don’t even know what triggered my illness, there didn’t seem to be any stressful situations. MRI showed damage to the vessels of the brain. Dizziness fears and panic attacks began, I didn’t walk myself, my husband, son, mother, and mother-in-law took me by the hand, dressed, put on shoes, and was afraid to leave the house, to be alone. I returned to the Professor for treatment and everything returned to normal.
Our son has been treated by the professor since the age of three. He was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP), which is the sagging of the leaflets of the heart valve at the moment of closing, which leads to a backflow of blood. Rapid heartbeat, arrhythmia. Treatment by cardiologists did not help, for health reasons he was exempted from physical education at school, and he cannot do much physical activity.
Also in adolescence, Nikita had pressure drops, high blood pressure, and severe headaches. After the Professor’s treatment, everything returned to normal.
Life goes on and with its joys and new problems. One “beautiful day” my husband came home from work and said that he lifted a heavy load on his shoulders and “broke” his back. Well, for God’s sake, which of us doesn’t have a backache, we figured it would and it would go away.
After a month of hospitals and droppers, the husband stopped walking, moved around the room on all fours, and slept only on the hard floor, but after a while, due to severe pain, he did not sleep day or night. Anti-inflammatory and analgesic injections 4-6 times a night did not give any results. In the regional hospital, the tomograph was used to diagnose herniated discs 3 mm and 9 mm. The treatment was only surgical, surgery was immediately suggested. He could no longer walk on his own. The brother wore it on his back and shoulders. Spinal surgery is terrible. No one guarantees that there will be a 100% improvement after the operation. I talked with those patients who underwent surgery, the outcome is not always positive. Many patients ended up in wheelchairs after the operation, many lost only sharp pains, and their backs still ached constantly.
With tears and in a panic, we came to the professor. He told us: “Decide for yourself. I do not give a guarantee, but it will not get worse. Or go for surgery. It all depends on your choice.”
The husband lay on the floor in the rehabilitation center and writhed in pain. After the treatment, we drove my husband home (which is a 3-hour drive) without a single injection. After the first stage of treatment, the husband began to walk around the apartment. On the street, I walked from bench to bench – lie down on the bench and go further. I have not yet sat and eaten at home, lying on the floor. After the second stage, he began to walk even more and began to slowly sit down. After the third stage of treatment, the husband himself came home by bus. He was given the third disability group, as he worked in physically hard work with strong vibration, and this was already contraindicated for him. Two years later, at the medical commission, the doctors doubted that Igor had a hernia of the spine. After all, with such a diagnosis, people do not get on their feet without surgery. We were sent for a second examination to the regional hospital, as they suspected that we “bought” the results of the tomograph. After the examination, the commission removed the disability group and gave restrictions on hard physical labor. At Igor’s work, knowing what a serious condition he was in, they did not believe that he did without surgery. But the recovery took place before everyone’s eyes, and there is no escape from the joyful facts.
Later, the man had injuries to his knee and foot, his leg did not bend, the nerves in his leg atrophied due to the injury, and he walked with a cane. Again it sounded to him: “We need to register a disability.” Neurosurgeons said that only 10% of living nerves remained in the injured part of the leg and urgent surgery was needed. Vagif Mamedovych said: “Well, thank God that 10% of nerves still remained.” After the professor’s treatment, the man walks to this day, and without a cane.
Once again, Dr. Rakhmanov saved our family from great grief. May God give him health, patience, and good people around him. I can’t imagine my life without him. I live and know that no matter what happens in my life, I always have the support and support of Dr. Rakhmanov behind my back.
Patients who know me ask why, during hypnosis, when they take me to the ward, I raise my hands up. It’s just that I fell more than once when I had an unsteady gait before the treatment, so, probably, the instinct of self-preservation works and I intuitively raise my hands in defense. Although, it happens as if some kind of force raises my hands, like a magnet, and I fix them like that.
When I go into hypnosis, in the beginning, my eyes become heavy and closed. There is heaviness in the arms and legs, I do not fall asleep, only my arms and legs seem heavy, and my eyes close. But I don’t fall like others, I go myself under hypnosis to the ward. True, the gait becomes shaky and uncertain.
I hear everything when I lie down on the bed in the ward. I can relax my arms and legs, then I fall into a dream, then I wake up, and the state is undulating. Sounds seem very loud, even those that normally would not pay attention. For example, the rustling of a package, someone knocking on the door, moving or hooking the nightstand, and conversations in the corridor. All extraneous noise is very annoying. When we were treated at the department, everyone there knew that it was impossible to wake a person under hypnosis. If I am awakened during a hypnotic sleep, tears flow, I start crying, I feel bad, like a nervous breakdown. The duration of my hypnotic sleep is different every time. From an hour, an hour and a half to three. Awakening happens when I open my eyes. Until the evening, a sluggish, sleepy state lasts, everything around seems to be slowed down.
The next day, there is an improvement, my mood rises, my working capacity, and I feel good.
every year in September I come for a preventive course of treatment by the professor. I had a very strong allergy to ragweed, I was diagnosed with Pollinosis and seasonal asthma, and I was suffocating. Eternal handkerchiefs, runny nose, tears.
All allergy medications are hormonal, and I had a very hard time tolerating them. I felt very bad for them, I was like a zombie, moved slowly, and talked.
After treatment at the Institute, I only occasionally bury my eyes, because the mucous membrane is affected due to ragweed pollen, and I put drops in my nose. I haven’t taken drugs for a long time.
Everyone knows that drug treatment brings a temporary improvement in health and every day you have to take drugs with a stronger spectrum of action.

I know that some doctors are beginning to dissuade treatment from the professor and offer their services and treatments that have long been known and often do not help. Every time I have to strongly explain that it is the treatment by Dr. V.M. that will help me. Rakhmanov. I think it’s just envy and ambition – well, how does Rakhmanov help people, but their treatment does not give results? I do not understand such doctors, because they should wish their patients only good, kind, and give them the opportunity to recover and feel like normal people.
There is no need for additional advertising about the professor’s treatment, people who have been treated by him pass information about effective treatment to each other. To get to treatment, you need to sign up in advance in the queue. Many have not been treated by Dr. Rakhmanov V.M. and have not experienced the joy of recovery, so you cannot truly judge his method of treatment.
There is also a category of people: if someone feels good, then it is necessary to drown such a person in mud so that he feels as bad as some others. Or another option: today I am starting to recover, but I won’t tell anyone about it – so as not to jinx it, Dr. Rakhmanov V.M. also has such patients. Then, for some reason, you meet them at repeated courses of treatment and ask yourself the question: “If the treatment does not help, then why are you back in the department?” As I understand it, if a pill for a disease does not help, then you will take it again (it makes no sense), and with the passage of treatment from a doctor. If the treatment did not help, they would not come to be treated again (but why?). Therefore, there is no need to dissemble either yourself or people that the treatment allegedly does not help.
I also want to say that we are turning to Professor Rakhmanov. in the most difficult moment, when the disease is already very advanced, when nothing helps, no medicine, no herbs, no “folk wizards” or “a healer”.
We come and say: “Professor, save us!”. But one day you can only get sick, and recover, oh, how hard. The professor has enough patience and strength to overcome the disease when the patient himself does not have the strength to fight the disease. When you begin to recover, you look at the world with different eyes and only then do you become an assistant professor on the path to recovery. The main thing is to follow all his recommendations, even the most unusual ones. But then you recover and you see that the doctor does not recommend anything “extra”. I urge all his patients: – you have to trust the professor, do everything he says, follow all his recommendations and a good result will not be long in coming, you only need patience and faith in the treatment, and the professor will do the rest.
