Hello everyone! I’m the mother of Oleg Gnatyshin, who is already 16 years old. We have been undergoing treatment with Vagif Mamedovich since 2013, and my son received his first treatment at the age of 5 years 10 months. You can see our story in the Professor’s book. It was our dad who got a tattoo of Vagif Mamedovich’s portrait as a sign of boundless gratitude for his son’s treatment. When a person sees the tattoo and asks his husband who he has on his stomach, the answer is one: “This man saved my son and family.”
It may seem like big words, but I’m sure that everyone who has received help at the Center understands what he is talking about. Let me remind you that Oleg got to the professor without a speech. Only beep-beep, coo-coo, pee-pee, aww-aww and this is the result after 1.5 years on neuroleptics, which our neurologist competently prescribed and then cancelled. She said that they are no longer capable of giving us more benefit, only harm. I think anyone who is interested in reading more about our family will easily find our story. I would like to leave a review of the results of our 19th stage of treatment. With each trip, exacerbations are smoothed out and are not so noticeable in Oleg, this time not even one of the frequently recurring complaints returned (scratching until large sores on the thighs, patience when wanting to go to the toilet for a big one). I can proudly say that in August Oleg spent 3 weeks in a camp with a work schedule from 9-00 to 18-00 with ordinary children aged 9-16. He was so delighted! He tried to tell everything and talked a lot with all the children, learned to ride on different devices, filmed his physical achievements on his phone. I was waiting for the autumn holidays to go there again.
Since September, Oleg has been going to school on his own and coming home on his own, he has his own house keys. If before he had a panic fear of walking or going for a walk without me or his dad, now he is completely independent. We have been working towards this for a very long time. While the autumn weather was good, Oleg ate in the morning, took a shower, got dressed and went for a walk on his own, and when he had walked enough (at least 3-4 hours) he came home. Oleg has lost weight and has started striving for a good athletic figure. This is such happiness! The list of products that he eats corresponds to a healthy person who likes to try everything and the tastiest))) and this is a child who before the treatment could not chew and ate at most 4 products, and he vomited or had a panic fear of trying anything new. His vocabulary has expanded, his memory is improving, which is still Oleg’s weakest point today. But our “diamond” is under daily pressure, if we loosen our grip with dad, he immediately relaxes.
This year Oleg is in a pre-New Year mood like never before in his life. His whole room is in figurines of different characters both from films/cartoons and fictional ones, plasticine is simply the best gift for him now. I often hear him singing in the room and catch him dancing in front of the mirror)) before, he didn’t care, before the 19th trip there was no such behavior. This is exactly the information for those who expect quick miracles from treatment. I began to hear the phrase “I can handle it myself” from him! We constantly hear stories from him about how he helped someone cross the road or helped his mother with a stroller while he was alone on the street (walking or walking to or from school). Now we see a healthy emotional reaction to films, unusual people on the street, non-standard situations, and this is a very important improvement for us!
