Treatment of early childhood autism (EDA)
mama Lyuda, son Denis 18 y.o. Ukraine

Hello everyone! Many know our family, as we’ve been officially under the professor’s supervision since 2009. I’m Lyuda, mother of Denis who has early childhood autism EDA. Many of you know that Denis is already grown up—he’s 18, finishing school, plays the piano, and is a very creative and artistic child!

But today my post is about another son and actually about me personally!
Our youngest son (we have three) wasn’t growing as expected. I noticed all his classmates were already my height, but my son remained smaller. Many people told me he’d grow eventually. Still, I was worried, so we visited the Institute of Endocrinology together. As I work in medicine, I decided to get myself checked too. I found out my son’s growth was significantly below normal, and his growth hormone levels were also below normal… For myself, I discovered an enlarged thyroid with three nodes. Doctors proposed giving my son a hormone injection to see how his body reacts. I was prescribed Iodomarin and advised to check up every 6 months.

OF COURSE, within 3 days we were already at Vagif Mamedovich’s clinic. At our meetings, I regularly share our entire FAMILY’S successes! But this time, I was literally “speechless”! We truly miss Dnipro—it feels like our second home. We miss everyone deeply since they’ve become very close to us. However, until Denis completes his medical assessment and gets the document, we cannot travel there.

SO: my son and I underwent our examinations on 13.03.2005.

THE RESULT: Dima—our youngest—is now within normal height parameters, hormones are normal, and no injections are required.
And my THYROID IS NORMAL too!
Naturally, doctors don’t believe that I didn’t take any medications or treatments. But we all know this story with doctors! They always claim, “This can’t be, no one can help you…” They told us the same thing when we first brought Denis to the professor. And now both Dima and I heard again: “THIS CAN’T BE!” 😁

I’d also like to share memories from Denis’s birthday, on 13.03.2025 (18 years!). We gave him a Lego set (18+), and grandparents gifted him a 1000-piece puzzle. He completed both in just one day—we were a bit shocked. He named the Lego lion Simba, and asked to glue the puzzle onto cardboard as a picture.

By the way, according to the “doctors'” forecasts, Denis was supposed to be “a profound invalid, whom NO ONE will help you” – the words of a psychiatrist in the hospital!!!
