mother Lyudmila, Misha 8.6 y.o Chernihiv Ukraine

Hello, I’m Lyudmila mother of Misha 8.6 years old and we are from Chernihiv. Misha, one of twins, was born after an emergency caesarean section at 32 weeks with a diagnosis: microstroke, repeated at 8 months, cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, ASD, sensorimotor alalia, global developmental disorder GDD, and now ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). I’m a doctor, we have gone through all possible and available treatment methods. There were results, but short-term and not always positive. After Tomatis, his condition became even worse, taking Nooprops: on Memontin, he became very hyperactive – he broke his arm, he started to roll back and there were many other methods…

Then all the specialists threw up their hands and said that we have already done everything we could, the medications are not suitable for you now, you will be violent and gain weight, then you may have Risspolet. We also tried a gluten-free diet, on which Misha became very weak, since he did not eat meat or fish in any form. As a result, it was canceled by doctors – orthopedists could otherwise “twist” the arms and legs and their functions could only be restored through surgery. Also in kindergarten they told him not to bring him, he could die (at 3 years old he weighed 13 kg, lost 1.5 kg on a diet). We decided not to give only dairy products (casein), which inhibits mental development. Misha threw tantrums in supermarkets, he did not ask for toys, but shoveled yoghurts into the basket, substituted a chair and stole sour cream from the top shelf at home. He developed problems with bones and teeth. The calcium in the drugs caused problems with the kidneys: MKD, “sand” was coming in – causing pain, cutting, irritating the mucous membrane. The child urinated only in his sleep, otherwise he was simply afraid that it was naturally impossible to potty train him.

Misha constantly had hysterics for 2 hours, it was impossible to calm him down, switch him off, he simply passed out exhausted. The child slept only 4 hours a day. Against the backdrop of everything that was happening, I began to have health problems; I was diagnosed with nodular goiter, hypothyroidism in the decompensation stage (memory loss, hair loss, tearfulness, emotional lability, sudden weight gain, depression, I just didn’t want to live – all my thoughts were about suicide). After the 3rd stage of treatment, the nodes disappeared somewhere. About suicide. I approached this very soberly, having thought everything through to the smallest detail, and even agreed on who would adopt my second child. What saved me from doing what I had planned was work, after which I didn’t want to go home. After the 3rd stage, thoughts of suicide left me, now I don’t even understand how it was possible to think about it…

Professor Rakhmanov was our last hope. I was especially scared; I worked in a psychiatric hospital and often had to counsel such incurable children.

We have gone through 4 stages, now we are on the 5th.
– Misha understands spoken speech almost 100 percent;
– fulfills any requests and instructions, if he doesn’t want to, he says: I don’t want to do this;
– the instinct of self-preservation has appeared, it does not run out onto the road, it clearly follows the traffic lights, it tells me: run away from the car;
– echolalia has almost completely disappeared;
– began to fall asleep on his own and sleep until the morning;
– sweating in sleep went away;
– teeth grinding stopped;
– eats meat, fish, salads;
– a pointing gesture appeared, shows, tells what he sees in books on the street;
– fine and gross motor skills are well developed: he cuts out and makes appliqués even for his sister;
– goes to a modeling club;
– learned to read, can read more than 50 pages of a book in an evening;
– learned to write, writes in a very calligraphic handwriting, writes dictations, rewrites texts;
– entered a music school to study piano;
– sings in the choir;
– he downloads drawing lessons on YouTube: he draws, colors, cuts, and then plays with cartoon characters, voicing his characters;
– but the most important thing is that the hysterics have practically gone away, you can already come to an agreement with him, switch him off;
– grown up, stronger.

Together with Misha, my sister Sofia is undergoing treatment, she had congenital dysplasia of the right hip joint, a habitual dislocation due to underdevelopment of the joint, and was in stirrups until she was 2.6 years old. After treatment, she grew up, became stronger, photophobia and tearfulness went away, and she became more self-confident. Attends a modeling school and practices ballroom dancing. Professional spotlights no longer even notice.

Our family is very grateful to Professor Vagif Mamedovich Rakhmanov and all the staff for your work!
