Central nervous system disease, ADHD, autoaggression (stage 1)
Tatyana, Timur 9 y.o Nikopol Ukraine

Hello everyone. Our results for 20 days of the first stage. We are from Nikopol City, but we have temporarily moved to Voloske. I’m Tatyana, psychologist, supervisor, psychology teacher, and my son Timur, 9 years old, in 4th grade in distance school. He was diagnosed with organic damage to the nervous system (central nervous system disease) and a consequence of ADHD after a neurovirus at the age of 2. 7 years of classical rehabilitation. Since the spring of 2024 – auto-aggression with punches to the head, depressed mood (doctors said that there is weak production of endorphins), suicidal statements (about the unwillingness to live, the desire to die, methods of suicide).

Came to Professor Rakhmanov V. M. in September 2024 with complaints:

  1. Difficulty in emotional regulation, high degree of emotional lability (emotional instability, changeability, irritability, irascibility, lack of self-confidence, aggression – mainly high degree of auto-aggression, which continued to escalate to a life-threatening level). He is unwilling to live and fear life, since it is “too difficult and joyless” for him (in his words). Two neurologists tried to put the child on antidepressants and tranquilizers, arguing that he is “uncontrollable” (after suffering from coronavirus with rotavirus, there was a significant deterioration in behavior outside the home, especially when doctors began to yell at him and threaten him for disobedience).
  2. The child had difficulty making contact with new adults – he began to show aggression towards them, especially towards doctors (we have had examinations and courses of various types of rehabilitation regularly all these years).
  3. Voluntary activity caused complete resistance (study, sports, doing housework, getting ready to go outside).
  4. Extremely rapid exhaustion with any activity, fatigue in the morning and at lunchtime, and hyperactivity in the evening.
  5. Disrupted circadian rhythm for many years (no type of treatment helped). Periodically did not sleep all night despite all types and methods of establishing a regimen, including medications (Noobut, Phenibut, Cognum, Deltalicin).
  6. Poor temperature tolerance during illness (vasospasm at a temperature above 37.4-37.5), significant rollbacks in behavior and well-being for several months after the illness.
  7. Low-stress tolerance – normal age-related stress and being around people, especially in noisy places, provoked an emotional breakdown and exhaustion. Periodically – hyperacusis.
  8. Difficulty gaining weight (for several years, a neurologist diagnosed a body mass deficit).
  9. Weather dependence (emotional breakdowns when the weather changes).

The first stage of 20 days was completed at the center. Our results for 20 days of treatment:

  1. The child began to contact the doctor on the 3rd day. The first three days of reflexology were carried out only with a laser, without needles (at the sight of needles on the first day, he had an emotional breakdown, since he was panicky and afraid of needles after the doctors inflicted psychological trauma).
  2. Hysterics and aggressive fighting during the appointment were replaced by trust in the doctor – from the 4th day, Timur allowed himself to have 2 needles inserted, then daily – all the necessary ones. Withstands a full session, using voluntary efforts to wait for the end. Now agrees to come for support.
  3. During the treatment, Timur had 2 crisis periods. The first was associated with the transition to better self-regulation (the emergence of a new pattern). The second crisis was provoked by circumstances (a virus with a high temperature with vascular spasms and immediately after the illness – the loss of his close great-grandmother). Both times there was a huge rollback, but Timur’s condition stabilized within a day or two of repeated procedures.
  4. The child also became more balanced and began to reflect better (self-analysis and self-report on his condition and behavior), the number of destructive thoughts and statements addressed to himself and attempts to harm himself during emotional distress decreased, thoughts appeared about his future, choice of profession, desire to live in general, there were requests to us parents to give birth to a second child in the family (earlier he said that he would never want children for himself since they were very loud and irritated him with this).
  5. Gained 3 kg in 3 weeks. He grew up and got stronger. His skin became less dry (he had constant dry skin for many years, on this issue the neurologist constantly sent us for a cycle of examinations with a gastroenterologist, endocrinologist, and therapist).
  6. From the 5th day, a hidden problem was revealed: in the period up to 1-1.5 years, the child had a pronounced violation of thermoregulation (as if he overheated without external factors). Then, it seemed, “outgrew it”. During rehabilitation, from the 5th day, these sudden overheatings began to occur during acupuncture: from the 10th minute of the procedure, Timur became very hot even in a cold room (only during procedures, there are no repetitions in everyday life). From the 12th day, attacks of overheating began to decrease. In the last two days of treatment, there were practically no attacks of overheating.
  7. Timur withstands the stress of complex emotions well, has a lot of fun, calms down quickly, sings songs and melodies, agrees to eat mixed dishes (pasta with gravy, for example, always caused a protest), hyperacusis has decreased in situations sensory overload, increased self-confidence in his ability to cope with difficulties, plans for the future, thinks about what kind of house he would like for our family after the war, what should be in it, and chose in the store what kind of plumbing he wants in the future 🙂
  8. He tolerated the autumn weather changes well, without breakdowns.
  9. There was no rollback in behavior after the virus this time.
  10. He writes without exhaustion and hysterics, he himself remembers the promise to do homework and follows the promise.

A little in percentage based on the fact of keeping a diary. Timur’s result:

  1. Autoaggression decreased by 92%.
  2. Fatigue decreased by 85%. He wants to move more, and is more willing to engage in activities, and walks. (From mid-summer to September, it was impossible to motivate him to leave the house.)
  3. Emotional lability decreased by 80%, balanced by improved self-regulation and stress tolerance.
  4. Timur’s overall percentage of improvements is 102%

My improvements in 20 days of treatment:

  1. I can withstand stress even with reduced sleep time.
  2. Arrhythmia has decreased in intensity and frequency of occurrence.
  3. The skin has become less dry (a habitual reaction of the last three years to stress and allergies, which was not there before the war).
  4. Regulation of the nervous system has improved (a more adaptive reaction to stress factors, I recover faster, my breathing under stress is more stable, I am less exhausted psycho-emotionally, there is no sudden heat in the body and cold in the fingers, trembling).
  5. Became more resistant to cold (when freezing, I usually got sick right away / most often it was cystitis). This time it was without.
  6. Vagif Mamedovich’s psychotherapeutic work with a group and individually – gave me additional puzzles for working through our transgenerational family, and intra-generational scenarios.
  7. The overall percentage of my improvements is 93%.
