My name is Katya, I am the mother of 14-year-old Lilya and 7-year-old Roman. We are from Horihiv of the Volyn region Ukraine. Daughter Lilya has been suffering from Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) and polyarthritis (inflammation of joints in children) since she was four years old. Lila had inflammation of the fingers of both hands, elbows, ankles of both legs, and knees. Doctors prescribed various ointments, anti-inflammatory, hormonal drugs – Metypred, a drug used in the treatment of oncological diseases – Methotrexate in combination with folic acid. Drug treatment partially helped, but the inflammation in the knees did not go away. Doctors even pumped fluid from both knees with a syringe and injected Depo-medrol into the knee joint. It’s terrible…..
My daughter had weak legs, could not sit down, weak arms, could not open a bottle of water…..
My daughter came to the professor for treatment with a swollen and hot right knee.
And already on the tenth day of treatment, the knee was stiff and not hot — the inflammatory process has passed!!!
And our recovery journey began.
With each stage of treatment, Lily got better:
– legs have become stronger, can squat,
– rides a bicycle,
– hands became stronger,
– acetone is very rare, before – almost every week,
– panic passed
– anxiety disappeared,
– became more self-confident,
– memory improved (it became better to study in an excellent school),
– the fear of approaching, for example, asking a salesperson in a store, has disappeared,
– she has grown up – drugs that her daughter used to take to suppress growth,
– she began to love herself, she did not like herself before.
– became less selfish,
– began to play more with her younger brother, helps her parents.
In April 2024, she completed the 11th stage of treatment.
I still want to write about my son Rom, now 7 years old. Completed the 12th stage of treatment. Diagnosis: at first they put ZPRR, ASD, then early childhood autism.
Our regional child psychiatrist prescribed various medicines to my son (Pantogam, Noobut, some others, I don’t even remember, Cerebrokurin injections). Courses of such treatment lasted for 2-3 months. After taking pills and injections, Roman became even more hyperactive, and there was no improvement…
For the first time, they came to the professor for treatment at the age of 3.10 with a full “set”:
– nocturnal enuresis,
– could not fall asleep for a long time (my husband and I put our son to sleep for 2-3 hours,
– no eye contact,
– there is no pointing gesture,
– there is no joint and separate attention,
– very poor fine motor skills: could not hold a pencil at all,
– poor gross motor skills,
– aggression and self-aggression,
– grinding of teeth,
– went through his fingers in front of his eyes,
– vocalized
– was constantly jumping,
– put in rows the things that came to hand (constructor, flakes, twigs on the street),
– reacted to noise (covered ears),
– I was afraid to enter the elevator in a panic,
– was afraid of household appliances (vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, mixer),
– ran to the road and did not understand that a car could drive there,
– very hyperactive (running, jumping on the bed, sofa, windowsill, stools),
– selectivity in food,
– ate a little with a spoon, a little with my hands,
– The words were:
— pe (biscuits), drink-drink (to drink), give (when he wanted something to be given to him), walked and said mamma-ma-m, but it was without addressing me,
– did not respond to his name,
– was not interested in who and what was around him,
– there was no imitation,
– did not play with children at all,
– did not like to be hugged, (pushed away).
I remember that at the first stage of treatment, I noticed that my son seemed to “wake up”. He began to notice what was around him. I was able to finally sit Roma at the table and start teaching. I started to fall asleep in 5 minutes. Nocturnal enuresis passed. I entered the elevator and rode in it without panic! A month later, after the 1st stage, Roma started to repeat some words after me at home!!! With each stage of treatment, Roma has achievements.
Now:
– there is a pointing gesture,
– it is better to look in the eyes,
– the grinding of teeth passed,
– improved understanding of the spoken language,
– can say in a simple sentence: – I want to drink. -Give me a cookie…- I want to swing. – Take me. – Go to bed… These sentences are more memorized, but he uses them correctly.
– answers most questions in one or two words,
– increased passive and active vocabulary,
– began to interact with his sister,
– you can make an agreement with Roma (first we learn, then we walk on the street),
– began to hug, kiss (he hugs all family members, even teachers in kindergarten)
– when a car is driving, it pulls to the side and I am still pulled
bends her hand to leave!!!
– began to eat soup (had not eaten for three years), began to try new dishes more,
– gross motor skills have improved (he rides a treadmill, pedals on a bicycle, but he still does not hold the steering wheel steady enough,
– improved fine motor skills (paints by himself, writes letters and numbers)
– score up to 20,
– we learn letters, learn to read,
– the interaction with the sister improved,
– stopped being afraid of a vacuum cleaner, hair dryer,
– bathes in the bathroom (was afraid before),
– I cut my nails (before I categorically did not give),
– allows you to cut hair.
– shares cookies, candies,
– in kindergarten, he repeats exercises after the children, he can sit next to them and put together a constructor.
– there are no tantrums in the store.
Roma gradually improve after each treatment.
The professor also treated me.
Complaints:
– I didn’t want to live
– bad thoughts,
– constantly cried,
– despair
– panic,
– anxiety,
– nervous,
– “bowel” pains,
– didn’t sleep well
– lashed out at her husband, children,
– hair was falling out,
Now:
– I want to live and fight for children,
– panic disappeared,
– despair disappeared,
– decreased anxiety,
– I don’t turn on my husband,
– the atmosphere in the family improved,
– the “cauldron” stopped hurting
– hair stopped falling out,
– became more self-confident.
