Hello everyone 🤝 I’m Nataliya Rospundovska, mother of twins Yarik and Rostik. We’re from Crimea. We came for treatment for the first time in 2014 when the children were 4 years old. Now they are 14. Yarik is currently going through his 24th treatment cycle (6 courses), Rostik — his 16th cycle (4 courses).
When we started treatment, the children were completely like “Mowgli”: didn’t speak at all, had no understanding of speech, no eye contact, no hygiene skills (they were out of diapers but still soiled their pants), had extremely limited and selective diets, were hyperactive, and learning was completely impossible. Rostik differed only slightly from Yarik in that he was a little calmer. Yaroslav didn’t sleep a single full night until he saw the professor.
From the very first cycle there were improvements! A lot or a little — Rostik said his first word! And Yarik began sleeping through the night from the very first day of treatment! That was it! Of course, we waited for a miracle — we wanted rapid changes. But we later realized that gradual improvements are better than instant ones. Over the first year, Rostik went from 1 to 10 words in his active vocabulary, and maybe ten more with effort. Yarik only started sleeping better — we didn’t notice much else.
We returned for treatment every 3–4 months, as recommended. We came 3–4 times a year! And we collected our improvements bit by bit 🤏 and worked diligently between cycles. We tried different activities, looked for growth points for the kids.
That’s how we gradually prepared Rostik for school — not ideally, but he was accepted into a speech therapy-focused class. His speech was still very poor, but he could read, write, and solve basic problems. Logic was hard, and retelling was a struggle, but he was diligent. By 4th grade, he became more independent, and by 5th, I stopped helping — he did everything on his own, responsibly.
Yarik developed more slowly. Only from the 6th cycle did he start speaking. He had many sessions with speech therapists and specialists. By age 9, he learned the letters and numbers up to 10–20. We had a lot of challenges with him. When we traveled for treatment, we had to strap Yarik to the suitcase with a belt so he wouldn’t run off and get lost. He didn’t respond to questions, didn’t interact with strangers.
He mastered hygiene norms only by age 6. Finally, I stopped carrying extra pants with me — it was a huge happiness.
Yarik showed self-aggression — he would bite his hand, whether out of joy or anger. He screamed and flapped his arms.
This was a demonstration behavior, a habit that we had allowed.
One day I was fed up with the bitten, damaged look of his hand. Imagine: when a child bites himself on public transport — people are horrified. At home, I caught the moment when he was about to bite his hand again. I grabbed his favorite animal toys and threw them into a box, saying, “You bite your hand — no African animals!” He fought, bit himself, threw things, and tried to get them back. I stood firm, repeated my phrase 👆 “You bite — no animals!” and locked the box in a room he couldn’t access.
We went through the stages: aggression, resistance, crying, whining, begging, and finally — calming down. This lasted for an hour. I repeated the same phrase the whole time. When he finally repeated it himself, I returned the toys. From that day on — he never bit his hand again.
That’s how we achieved results — through clarity and consistency.
The professor foresaw changes that hadn’t even begun yet. But you must follow all the requirements and recommendations. You can’t treat this like a buffet: “I’ll do this, but not that because it’s inconvenient.”
We always followed everything. We wore the Dosed Deprivation of Visual Activity – DDVA glasses for 6 hours a day, sang, spoke, walked around the city, up and down stairs — constantly stimulating new neural connections through new experiences in DDVA.
Now I understand that this path — we walked it together with the professor. Vagif Mamedovich awakens the cortex, and we fill it every day through work at home.
Those who’ve seen my kids know — Rostik is completely healthy! No autism! He studies, develops according to age — I can attach a video and you’ll see for yourself.
Yarik has also achieved incredible progress. He attended a school for children with developmental delays up to 4th grade — but there were no qualified specialists. After 4th, there was a committee evaluation (Psychological, medical and pedagogical commission — PMPC), and they reduced his program, labeling him with “mild intellectual disability.”
We didn’t agree. Now Yarik has a personal tutor with huge experience in such cases. She works not only on academics but full social adaptation.
Yarik studies daily from 9 AM to 5 PM. He knows how to do everything at home and in school: reads, writes, knows the multiplication table, solves problems, draws, attends swimming, pottery, cooking, yoga, adaptive physical education — and succeeds everywhere!
Don’t believe the diagnosis — it’s the intellectually disabled system that discards our children. A mentally retarded child couldn’t do what Yarik already does.
Now we’re working on the highest level of socialization — communication in family and society. I no longer feel that Yarik is “disabled.” I know with hard work he’ll be fully socialized and will get a profession for life.
A bit about myself. I’m a psychologist by education. But when I realized my children were sick, I couldn’t help myself. I had determination to act, but no strength. When I heard about the professor — I learned everything and came within a few weeks.
Not even a 6-month-old baby on breastfeeding stopped me. I came with 3 kids, my mom, and aunt. The professor didn’t want to take us — too many people, I had no appointment. But I refused to leave. He eventually agreed to treat me too.
At that time, I was active but emotionally numb — my reaction to fear for my children. I had thrown myself fully into their treatment and denied my own emotions and needs — and that’s not healthy.
After the treatment, I came back to life. The children began to improve — and I began to build a life again. I created a cozy home, and peace returned to our family.
