Now a very beautiful and talented girl Valeria, 11 years old, is undergoing treatment at the Research Institute of Child and Family Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Psychology, Medical and Psychosocial Rehabilitation.
On February 25, on the birthday of her beloved poetess Lesya Ukrainka, at a school holiday, Valeria recited a poem. Suddenly the girl became agitated, felt anxiety and fear, her pulse increased. She could not overcome these feelings on her own.
The next morning, she informed her parents that she was afraid to go to school. Her mother Julia is the director of this school, so this news was shocking for the family. Valeria was admitted for treatment to the therapeutic department of the district hospital at her place of residence, the prescribed droppers did not help. It became clear that the problem was not therapeutic.
For 2 weeks the girl did not dare to enter her class, she was sitting in her mother’s office. They turned to the regional children’s hospital for help. After consultations with a cardiologist and an endocrinologist, the diagnosis was made – Somatoform Autonomic Dysfunction (former vegetative-vascular dystonia VVD). The psychologist’s conclusion is panic attacks.
From friends, Valeria’s mother learned about the Research Institute of Child and Family Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Psychology, Medical and Psychosocial Rehabilitation. I decided to call the institute and make an appointment for a consultation. Immediately we arrived in Dnipro, staying with friends. At first, the girl was afraid to get into busses, trolleybuses, she felt an inexplicable fear.
But after a few days of treatment, Valeria got much better. She smiles and enjoys the spring, does not want to leave the institute, so she likes everything here, she feels calm and safe.
– Now we are happy, – says mother Yulia, – funny, we smile. Learned to be distracted from problems and worries. We will definitely inform you about the results of the treatment later.
