Good morning to all members of our favorite group! My name is Elvira (psychiatrist), my son Rashid is 12 years old with ASD. We are from Simferopol Crimea. I would like to tell you a little about our path before treatment at the Research Institute:
Rashid is the third child in the family. The pregnancy went well. Childbirth by cesarean section due to a violation of labor. He was born with an umbilical cord entanglement. Until 1.5 years, he developed normally. Then we noticed that the child did not respond to his name, did not fix his gaze, looked through you, did not try to speak, did not react to speech addressed to him. He could run in circles and scream for a long time, had no self-care skills, was incontinent. And there was a lot more that is hard to remember. Especially my condition at that time. At three years old, we first contacted a psychiatrist. They made an appointment, after which Rashid’s condition only worsened, all the complaints intensified. After repeated visits to psychiatrists, I saw only misunderstanding and irritation towards my child. They constantly said, accept it, this cannot be cured and you will have to live with it.
At the age of 5, we were issued a disability, at the age of 7 there was a re-examination. We did not go to child psychiatrists anymore.
At that time, Rashid did not perceive me at all, he only listened to my eldest daughter. In order to somehow cope with my condition, I immersed myself in work, took on an additional load. But over time, I realized that by doing this I was not helping myself, but only making it worse and devoting little time to the child. Now I can’t remember everything that we had to go through to have the strength to move on. At times, there was no desire to live 😞. At one point, I decided that it was enough to feel sorry for myself, pulled myself together and quit my job.
Since he was three years old, we have undergone:
Osteopath 10 sessions (who explained to us that perhaps during childbirth the head was compressed, since the shape of the skull was changed.
And a vessel in the brain was compressed, after the 4th procedure we immediately noticed improvements in Rashid, a look appeared, before that he looked through you.
And we realized that there was hope to help our son and began to act.
Acupuncture 2 courses, then our doctor left for permanent residence in another country.
BAC 7 courses, dolphin therapy 3 courses.
Nootropics (ceraxone, cortexin, etc.).
I would like to note the effect of nootropics, or rather the remote consequences, such as masturbation.
Which, thank God, we passed after the 1st stage.
There were also classes with a speech therapist, a defectologist, a psychologist, physical education classes.
All this gave its result, but insignificant.
And by this time we had the strength to look for others treatment options, further than Crimea. We couldn’t even dream of this before.
And so in July-August 2021 we got to the first stage of treatment at the Research Institute.
Our improvements after stage 1:
✅ behavior improved;
✅ became calmer, more obedient;
✅ it became easier to go to the store with him, began to understand the queue;
✅ obsessive hand movements passed;
✅ understanding of addressed speech improved;
✅ facial expressions became more lively;
✅ look changed, became more conscious;
✅ stopped breaking toys and spoiling things (cut all chargers and more);
✅ stopped keeping his hand in his pants (masturbation).
Improvements after stage 2:
✅ understands addressed speech even better and better;
✅ new words appeared;
✅ began to build short sentences;
✅ if he needs something, he doesn’t pull my hand, but tries to say, especially if he wants to go for a walk or ride on a swing.
Improvements for stage 3:
✅ new words appeared again;
✅ became more independent;
✅ with each stage, behavior becomes better and better and his look changes, he becomes more and more conscious;
✅ understanding of spoken language improved even more.
We arrived at the third stage in February 2022 and the journey home took us exactly a week.
Rashid was calm and patient the whole way home.
His gaze showed lack of understanding, but I kept telling him that we were going home and that the journey would be long, and he calmly responded to my words.
I also consider this to be the coolest result of the treatment!
Unfortunately, after stage 3, we had a long break, 1 year and 4 months. Since we didn’t know how to go for treatment.
But to our great happiness, in August 2023, the professor received us in Baku, where we arrived for stage 4.
Improvements after stage 4:
✅ the food ration expanded (I tried meat and ice cream for the first time during stage 4) perseverance appeared;
☑️ unfortunately, there was a rollback in speech.
✅ at school, Rashid became calmer, completed all the assignments, calmly sat through 3-4 lessons. But he did not comment on anything verbally.
✅ At the end of stage 4, Rashid said to the professor Hero! Savior!
In Baku, talking with parents, we learned that you can get from Istanbul to Dnepr by bus.
We started looking for phone numbers and found them. And in December 2023, we arrived for stage 5.
The journey took us 4 days.
First, the Simferopol-Sochi train, then Sochi-Istanbul by plane and from Istanbul by bus 30-33 hours.
We also got to stage 6 in 4 days.

Improvements for stage 5:
Since the road was long and not easy, Rashid had many stigmas.
But as soon as we arrived at the clinic, even before the treatment, Rashid relaxed and all stigmas have passed.
✅ speech has gradually returned during treatment and immediately with sentences, “Mom, let’s go, help me find a toy”;
✅ no dialogue speech yet, but the main thing is that speech
has returned
✅ stopped being afraid to try new foods
✅ teachers don’t recognize Rashid and ask when we’ll go next time 😉;
✅ has grown a lot
✅ started playing table tennis.
Improvements for stage 6:
✅ ate for the first time: chocolate with whole nuts. Previously, he didn’t eat nuts.
✅ tried raspberries, blueberries, ate fried fish.
✅ While walking with slepping mask by method DDSA (Dosed Deprivation of Sensory Activity) he consciously said: “I urgently need to drink some water,” and when he drank, he said “drink some more.”
✅ Also, at stage 6, Rashid began to sing songs from Soviet cartoons. And if he doesn’t know the words to the song, he still repeats after me.
If in %, then from stage 1 to 6, everything is 120%
And I also want to note that when we were going to stage 6, Rashid was riding relaxed and smiling. Because he already knew where he was going.
I think that the improvements after stage 6 are still ahead.
Because only 10 days have passed.
Massive thanks to the Professor and all the staff of the Research Institute!!!
I also want to write about my improvements.
After stage 1:
✅ kettle-hat pains went away;
✅ strength appeared;
✅ increased efficiency;
✅ improved mood;
✅ a desire to live appeared;
✅ faith in a better future appeared;
✅ relations with my husband and older children improved.
Previously, I constantly snapped at them, with or without reason.
The professor at stage 6 asked everyone how they were with their passport and how they were without it.
So without a passport I WAS “ZOO” (a particularly dangerous snake😁).
After the second stage:
✅ Intercostal neuralgia attacks have gone away by 80%
The first attack was before treatment. In the winter of 2020.
The attack was so strong that I thought I was dying, since there was severe pain and I could not breathe.
I had the same strong attack when I was at stage 2 of treatment.
And thanks to the professor, the attack went away much faster than the first time.
The next day, the professor asked if I was alive? I answered that I was alive. So the problem was in the pot.
And so it turned out, since after stage 3, there was not a single attack anymore.
Improvements after stage 3:
✅ My varicose veins in the lower extremities went away;
✅ Constipation went away;
✅ the constant bloating has gone away;
Hurray!
And with each stage the mood is getting better and better.
There is faith in a better future for Rashid.
I have become a completely different person!
Huge thanks to the Professor Rakhmanov and all the staff of the Research Institute.
And also special thanks for allowing me to live in the clinic 🙏🙏🙏. Thanks to this, we were able to gain 6 hours of DDSA.
