Autism treatment
Elvira and Rashid's 9 y.o. Simferopol, Crimea

My name is Elvira, I’m Rashid’s mother, 9 years old — diagnosed with autism. We are from the Crimea, Simferopol. Let me tell you a little about our way to treatment at the research institute. Rashid is the third child in the family. The pregnancy went well. Childbirth by cesarean section due to birth defects. Born with umbilical cord entanglement. Up to 1.5 years developed normally.

Signs of autism

After noticing that the child does not respond to his name, does not fix his gaze, looks through you, does not try to speak, does not respond to the language spoken. He could run around in a circle for hours and scream, he had no self-care skills, he had urinary incontinence (enuresis). And there was much more that is hard to remember. Especially my condition at the time. At the age of three, we first consulted a psychiatrist. She made an appointment, after which Rashid’s condition only worsened, all complaints intensified. After repeated visits to psychiatrists, I saw only misunderstanding and irritation towards my child. Constantly argued, put up with it, it does not cure and you live with it.

When he was 5 y.o we registered a disabled child, at the age of 7 there was a re-examination. We did not go to child psychiatrists anymore. I am a psychiatrist myself, I only specialize in adults (elderly people). At that time, Rashid did not perceive me at all, he just listened to my eldest daughter. To somehow cope with my condition, I immersed myself in the work, took the extra load. But over time, I realized that this way I do not help myself, but only make it worse and give little time to the child. Now all not to mention what we had to go through to have the strength to move on.

At one point I decided that it was enough to feel sorry for myself, took myself in hand, and resigned. From three years we have passed:
– osteopath – 10 sessions;
– acupuncture – 2 courses, then our doctor went for permanent residence in another state;
– BAK – 7 courses;
– Dolphin therapy – 3 courses;
– Bloodletting cupping therapy (Hijama).

Classes with a speech therapist, speech pathologist, psychologist, physical education classes. All this paid off, but we wanted more. And we still have the strength to look for other treatment options beyond Crimea. We couldn’t dream about it before.

Autism treatment, results of the first stage of treatment at the Research Institute

And on 05.08 we finished the first stage of treatment at the research institute. After 10 days, I can say that Rashid became calmer, more obedient, patient in the queues of the store. New words appeared, tics passed, obsessive hand movements, his look changed and became more aware, facial expressions became more vivid.

Now there is still an exacerbation. For languages so far without significant changes. But this is just the beginning and we believe that in time everything will be even better!!! Thank you very much to all employees of the research institute for your work and professionalism!!!

And special thanks for my treatment.
It was as if I had become a different person.
There is hope and strength to go further!
