I would like to tell you about myself and about my history. And this is no longer a small piece of my life. This is a 22-year history of acquaintance with Professor V.M. Rakhmanov.
My daughter was born in December 1978 with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, lesions of the central nervous system, paraparesis of the lower extremities, and other disorders. Her whole body was covered with blue spots. Her little head was so soft that when I bathed her in the tub, my fingers pressed through this head. And when she was sick, t = 40C degrees lasted more than a week. She did not eat anything, but only drank water. And there was also the strongest fear from which she cried all the time. There was a threat of stopping development at any moment. Because of this condition, the doctors abandoned her, even the masseuse.
I was 23. I had to do the massage myself, after a short briefing. I knew that all illnesses would go away within a year if I had time with the treatment. Time was melting catastrophically. And here’s the first tiny victory, mine, and mine alone. At 1 year and 4 months, my girl was able to sit on her own, without pillows. And at 1 year and 6 months, she took her first steps. The arms and legs worked hard. But the speech did not come.
At 2.5 years of age, she was diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss in both ears, grade 3 and 3.
And again, the doctors abandoned my child, and the neuropsychiatrist and audiologist (the then luminary E.I. Leonhard said so – if I take your child, I will break her, do it yourself). Again, but how? There were no answers. Only a little, incomprehensible instructions.
A week before 4 years old, the daughter said the first word. This was our victory again.
Then at the age of 6, he was special. kindergarten, then a special school for hearing impaired children. And all this was achieved with great difficulty and great “pull”. 2 hearing aids, a Moscow boarding school for hearing impaired children (I lived in the Moscow region, and this is the limit for Moscow). I didn’t see a future for my daughter, but life taught me to live in the present.
Once, what a kind soul from a neighboring department brought a magazine with an article about Dr. Rakhmanov. Together with my daughter, we read this article with bated breath. Our eyes were burning and we were ready to run anywhere, even to the ends of the world. My daughter had such a desire to hear! It was May 1989. Then it was not customary to call Rakhmanov by phone, as it is now. I had to write a letter and wait for the call. But we took off. With difficulty, I took leave from work. In Dnipro, kind people gave us shelter for the first time. We had no money. We collected the last one for the trip. I never wondered to go-not-go. I read people’s opinions. And I was fed up with the doctors in Moscow. They only talked about the neuritis of the auditory nerve. We can cure, incurable. But the case was not. And here we are in Dnipro. 42 branch at Igren clinic. There is a crowd of people in the waiting room. The doctor is very strict. But …… We are on treatment!
We arrived with Shr.- 0 on both ears. PP (H) on the right ear-3 cm., On the left ear 15 cm. That’s all. And also a bunch of complaints leftover from cerebral palsy. In general, an ugly duckling with an ascetic posture and with his own fears. But with a great desire to hear.
Passed, no flew, a month of treatment. The result was. Not big, but Fr. appeared on the right ear 8 cm, on the left 12. Wow! PP (H) on the right ear 16cm, on the left – 26cm. But the child’s reaction was amazing. Heard: birds singing (until 10 years old do not hear birds singing alive), the noise of car wheels, music. I could distinguish words on the phone, earlier only a dial tone. The shrill voice was gone. And once I heard the sound of rain. Many mothers will understand me. I WAS HAPPY. And the MAIN THING I learned how to deal with my daughter. The technique was surprisingly accessible. And that’s all he is – DOCTOR RAKHMANOV.
At home, hearing fluctuated strongly for a month. The results were doubled. At the request of our daughter, we visited the boarding school where she studied. She really wanted to share her achievements with the children and teachers. It was our mistake. They were skeptical about improving their daughter’s hearing. Julia is under extreme stress. THIS IS SO SIMPLY IT IS POSSIBLE TO HURT A PERSON. The hearing began to fall. The child’s response to hearing loss was dire. Nerves. This went on for three long weeks. And it seemed that the rumor could not be returned. I had to do something.
Then I did not grumble at fate, scold the doctor, look for the shortcomings of the treatment. I believed Rakhmanov.
A call to the 42nd department, the doctor is on the phone. He listened to my cry from the heart, advised me to wait – this discomfort should pass. And now the long-awaited “Come urgently for the 2nd year”.
The 2nd course lasted two weeks. Hearing restored to home results. 50 cm for the best ear. I went home with a bunch of advice from the doctor. I was very confused and worried. It was necessary to transfer my daughter to a mass school. It seemed impossible to me. Get settled with work. A more or less established life collapsed. It was necessary to make a decision again. Everything he said contradicted my opinion. And for the second time, I trusted Dr. Rakhmanov.
From 1989 to 1995, we completed 6 full courses and 1 short course (2nd) in 42 departments. And then several more times we were with the doctor for treatment, when he came to Moscow for 10-15 days each. I will not describe all my life conflicts of these years, I will only say that my daughter graduated from the 9th grade of a mass school with one grade, the Moscow Medical School, specializing as a medical assistant-laboratory assistant. I want to note that Yulia’s hearing was certainly hesitant. After all, the weather, colds, nervous stress affected. But always, when there was a recovery, the hearing rose and did not fall below the result of the last treatment.
Even during the period of treatment, while sitting in a meeting, I often listened to disturbing speeches of mothers who had adult children. Some had problems with the arrangement of children’s personal life, others had problems after childbirth. As the saying goes: little kids are little trouble, big kids are big problems. It frightened me, but it seemed far away.
But now this time has come to us. My daughter has become an adult. She worked in a medical center, got married. It’s time to give birth. It was also a defining moment in my life. Summing up what I had lived through, I realized that I was doing everything right. Everything was under control. My daughter had a cesarean section. The child was born healthy. Hearing in place. This is happiness. This is a victory. And a million scarlet roses to Dr. Rakhmanov Vagif Mamedovich.

A lot of good things happened during this time, for 22 years the hearing was kept unabated. But a terrible thing happened. After some of the events she experienced, Julia began to lose her hearing. And literally in a month, fate threw us 22 years ago. I didn’t hear my son’s voice, I just saw him open and close his mouth when talking, guessing what he was saying.
For 16 years we have not been to Dnipro. And here again SOS. I am looking for Vagif Mammadovich’s phone number on the Internet. I dial the number and wait with bated breath. There is a native voice in the receiver – “Galya – you? Come urgently. ” I learned … After 16 years. My daughter and I were crying. That’s the kind of DOCTOR RAKHMANOV he is.
Professor, doctor and just a person Rakhmanov Vagif Mammadovich treats his patients as relatives, close friends. It is fortunate that this doctor was born in my time.
By the way, on December 10, 2011, we returned to Moscow after treatment. All three of us. Our mother Julia hears again! And how her son talks (she said: he has such a childish voice) and how the rain pounds on the hood of her jacket and the conversation of the roommates and many, many more things. And her face is so bright. I haven’t seen my daughter like that for a long time. I am HAPPY again!
