Diagnosis – organic developmental disorder with autism spectrum disorder. Entered for treatment at 7.5 years old. To date, 5 stages of treatment have been completed. Treatment results:
– Understanding of addressed speech appeared. After the 2nd stage, small sentences of 2-3 words followed. Today, he makes longer ones up to 5 words. Sentences are not templates, he tries to say what he wants himself. When he asks for something in one or two words, I do not fulfill his request, I wait until he says it completely correctly.
– Sings a lot, we go to a music school (accordion, piano). So far at the initial stage.
– At the 2nd stage, he asked the question for the first time: “Why is the boy crying?” A couple of months later, he asked at home: “Why was the light turned off?” There are no more questions yet, there are requests.
– A dialogue has appeared, he answers yes/no, when something needs to be chosen in a question, he makes a conscious choice, you can really understand what he wants and what he doesn’t want.
– He can approach children on the playground, offer to jump, play. Before treatment, he was not very interested in children at all.
– He likes to go to the circus, children’s parties, the theater. If he needs to repeat movements/dance somewhere, he participates with the children. Before treatment, he could hardly sit for 20 minutes in the circus and wanted to leave. Now he watches the performances with interest, claps, laughs at the clowns’ jokes. He tells me who he liked more at the performance (but this is with my help, when I ask leading questions). – Before the trip to stage 5 (in 2 days), he began to consciously count (addition, subtraction) on his fingers within 10. During the 5th stage, we strengthened the results, he learned to count on his fingers in a mask and, in accordance with the result, he walked that number of steps to the right, to the left, back, and forward. Before that, he could only count in order on improvised objects, but not independently.
– He writes much better, he learned to rewrite printed text immediately in capital letters without prompts. He holds a line better.
– He colors better, less goes beyond the boundaries of the drawing.
– He learned to cut with scissors, now we can make different crafts.
– At stage 5, we learned the days of the week and months of the year, before that he had no interest.
– Before the trip to stage 5, he went with me to school several times for a reading lesson, he goes to school with joy, follows the rules of the lesson.
– Even more trainable, assiduous, can complete more tasks in one go. Previously, breaks were needed after each. Now we immediately agree on what we will do, without resistance.
– At stage 5, his grandmother taught him to spin a hoop on his hand, then we complicated the task, put on a mask and he walked on sensory mats and simultaneously spun the hoop and then several on one hand.
– Gross motor skills have significantly improved, he learned to ride a two-wheeled bicycle (but with small additional wheels), before the treatment this issue was of no interest at all.
– Reads better, understands when he is asked questions online in lessons.
– We go to the dentist to clean his teeth, hyperacusis has decreased (he is no longer afraid of a hair dryer, dryers).
– Helps with shopping in the store, checks products according to the list, carries purchases from the store, does not drop bags halfway.
– In places of large crowds of people, he behaves calmly and balanced, does not run away anywhere.
– Calmly tidies up, puts away toys.
– Fewer mood swings, does not touch his genitals when nervous.
– Shows up better in class.
– Stimuli that have been there for several years are gone (he repeated the same words when passing a certain place, did not go home until he made several movements in front of the entrance).
In addition to the improvements in the child, my health has also improved. Back pain has almost gone away, vision has improved, there are no problems with the gastrointestinal tract, the emotional background has leveled out, there is no feeling of rapid fatigue, I have completely given up coffee.
My parents were undergoing treatment in parallel with us. From the first days of the 1st stage, my mother’s stomach pains went away, she began to eat normally, without diets and restrictions. In addition:
– back pain has almost gone away;
– depressive moods, apathy have gone;
– hearing has improved;
– numbness in fingers gone;
– no headaches;
– nervousness, irritability, irascibility gone;
– memory and concentration improved;
– fatigue gone;
– no weather sensitivity.
After the second stage, during examination of the thyroid gland, no nodes were found that were diagnosed earlier. In general, he feels like a completely healthy person.
Dad’s back pain decreased, the frequency of atrial fibrillation decreased (he stopped taking medications associated with this problem), there are no jumps in blood pressure, the manifestations of varicose veins on the legs decreased, a more balanced emotional background.
